Why Play'n GO and Endorphina Slots Are Disappearing From Offshore Casinos

November 4, 2026
Lucky-Dice Play Now

Naturally, in November 2026, two slot studios gave offshore casnio players the same message in one week. On 29 October, Play n GO sent letters to every major game aggregator saying its titles would no longer be available through them.... Four days later, the Dutch regulator published a binding instruction ordering Endorphina to get its games off at least 28 unlicensed sites. One studio jumped and the other was pushed, but the reuslt points the same way.. The studios that make the games are now being held responsible for where those games end up, and offshore lobbies are where that responsibility bites first.

For years the industry ran on a convenient fiction. A studio signs a licensed aggregator, the aggregator resells the content to whoever pays. and if a Book of Dead copy turns up on a Curaçao site serving Dutch IP addresses, everone points at someone else. Regulators have stopped accepting that answer.

What did Play n GO actually do?

According to NEXT.io, which broke the story, Play n GO told all major aggregators on Thursday 29 October that its content would be withdrawn from their channels. The stated goal is to close the remaining routes that carried its gaems into offshore markets, including routes that ran through MGA licensed operators.. That detail matters. A Malta licence was long treated as a respectable passport into grey markets, and Play n GO is now treating it as a leak.

Heads up, the aggregator cut follows Play n GOs withdrawal from Asia toward the end of September, and the May 2025 pledge that its portfolio will never be supplied to so called sweepstakes casinos. Sources cited by NEXT.io disagree on the exact nubmer but agree the move will likely cost the company tens of percent of gross gaming revenue almost immediately. , That is a real price for a company to pay voluntarily. Naturally, Chief commercial officer Magnus Olsson insists none of this is new.... It does not constitute a change of direction, he told NEXT.io, adding that the studio is interested in wroking with anyone that addresses locally licensed markets..... The studio has backed that up with regulated market moves this autumn a launch in Albertas new market, content with Casino Barcelona in Spain, and membership of Germanys DOCV online casino association in September.

Back in 2025, when Compliance+More reported that Play n GO titles were live on Curaçao licensed black makret sites, head of government affairs Shawn Fluharty said some of those placements earned as little as one to two euros a day. If that figure was representative, cutting the offshore tail costs almost nothing. If the tens of percent GGR estimate is right, the tail was a lot fatter than one or two euros a day. Both claims cannot be fully true, and the second one is the more intersting.

Why did the Dutch regulator target Endorphina?

Endorphina did not volunteer. the Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa) first notified the studio on 2 April 2026 that its games were playable from Dutch IP addresses on unlicensed casinos.... follow up checks in June and again in September still found them. Between January and September, Ksa logged Endorphina contet on at least 28 different illegal sites..... Reporting by NEXT.io and iGamingToday names luckygem.com, qbet..com, winningz.com and the crypto casino justbit.io among them, and titles including Hell Hot 100, Lucky Streak 3, Geisha and 2025 Hitslot.

The binding instruction is dated 19 October and covers both Endorphinas Maltese and Cypriot entities.... It gave the studio two weeks to take adequite measures. That deadline expired on 2 November, which is when Ksa went public. The legal basis is Article 1(1)(b) of the Dutch Betting and Gaming Act, which prohibits promoting participation in unlicensed gambling... Ksas view is that a studio whose games keep showing up on illegal sites is, in effect, promoting them. Sure, Endorphinas defence is the standrad supplier playbook. It is a B2B company that does not offer gambling to players..... Its Malta entity serves the licensed Dutch market... Its games reach sites through intermediaries, and there is no proof it knowingly supplied illegal operators. It says it tightened distribution contracts and added preventive restrictions in July 2026. , Ksa called the split betwen entities irrelevant for the purposes of this binding instruction and noted that keeping games off illegal sites does not require extensive technical changes. Translation: you can geo block, so geo block. Endorphina has six weeks to object, and objecting does not pause the obligation.

Is this a one off or a pattern?

Spoiler, it is a pattrn, and it has been building for two years. CryptoCasino...Vegas research compiled the supplier side enforcement actions from European and Canadian regulators since early 2024. , The trend line is clear. The cases are getting bigger, the regulators are getting more numerous, and the we only sold to an aggregator defence has failed every time.

October 2026None (voluntary)Play n GOPre emptive move agaist offshore exposureAll major aggregators cut off

Bottom line, the Evolution case is the one every studio compliance team has pinned to the wall. The UK Gambling Commission found what appeared to be Evolution games on six unlicensed sites in August 2024.. Evolution geo blocked them immediately. The regulator still opened a licence reveiw in December 2024, still said the failings were serious enough to consider suspending the licence, and still extracted Β£4.75 million in July 2026... Fixing the problem fast did not make it go away. When the largest live casino supplier in the world pays that for six sites, Endorphinas 28 look expensive.

The Ontario fines were small, at C$40, 000 each, but they put Pragmatic Plays operating entity on the same list. The signal is that no studio is too big to be named.

What changes for players at offshore and crypto casinos?

The honset answer is that it depends on how your casino gets its games..... Most offshore and crypto casinos do not sign 80 studios one by one. They plug into one or two aggregators and inherit whatever is on the menu.... When a studio pulls out of an aggregator, the games disappear from every casino behind that pipe at once, often without any announcement to players.
Casnio typePlay n GO accessEndorphina accessWhat to expect
Locally licensed (UKGC, Ksa, Ontario)Unaffected, direct dealsUnaffectedStable lobby, but tight stake and bonus rules
MGA multi market sitesAt risk where content came via aggregatorsUnaffected outside blocked jurisdictionsTitles may vanish in some countries and stay in others
Curaçao, Anjouan and other offshore crypto casinosLosiing legitimate supplyGeo blocked for Dutch IPs, likely more markets laterShrinking lobbies, higher risk of unofficial copies
Three practical consequences follow.

Lobbies will thin out quietly. Book of Dead, Reactoonz, Rise of Olympus and the rest of the Play n GO back catalogue were staples at offshore crypto casinos. If a lobby still lists them in December, ask how the casnio is sourcing them, because the official aggregator route is closing.

Counterfeit games become a real risk. Play n GOs own licensing page warns that some companies sell copies of its games while posing as aggregators or distributors. , And states plainly that we do not provide these games, nor do any companies with the rights to distribute them... A cloned slot looks identical and can run any maths the seller wants. Geniune games load from the studios servers and show the studios own paytable and RTP screen.. A popular title that suddenly reappears after a cut off deserves suspicion.

Geo blocks are now the studios problem. Ksa told Endorphina that blocking Dutch IP addresses is not technically hard. Expect studios to block by IP far more aggressively, and expact offshore casinos to keep the right to void winnings from restricted regions in their terms.... The studio is no longer the friendly party in that dispute. It is the one being fined if the game loads.

Which studios are next?

Follow the regulators rather than the studios. Ksa has just issued a record €37 million fine to operator EOD Code, which shows a regulator that is escalating, not easing off.... The UK Gamblng Commission has warned suppliers about aggregators reselling into unlicensed markets.... Sweden and Ontario have already fined suppliers.... Any studio whose games are widely available on CuraΓ§ao and Anjouan crypto casinos while it holds UK, Dutch, Swedish or Ontario licences is carrying the same exposure Endorphina had in April.

Some studios will chosse the offshore market openly and drop regulated licences... Others will follow Play n GO and cut the tail. What will not survive is the middle position, where a studio collects regulated market prestige while its games quietly earn in places it says it does not serve.

The takeaway for crypto casino players

Do not judge a casino only by how many slots it lists. A lobby built entirly on resold aggregator content can lose hundreds of titles overnight because of a letter sent to an aggregator in Malta. Check whether a game loads from the real provider, read the RTP inside the game rather than the casinos marketing. And treat any big name title that survives a public withdrawal with suspicion.. A lobby with its own identity is less exposed to a third party studios compliance decisions than one that is simly a resold catalogue. That is part of why CryptoCasino.Vegas built its brand around anime themed games instead of chasing the longest possible list of aggregator titles.

The supply chain that let regulated studios earn from unregulated markets with plausible deniability is being taken apart one binding instruction at a time.... , Play n GO decided to leave before it was pushed. Endorphina was pushed. The next studio on Ksas list will not get the benfit of being first.
